HMK® S242 (Formerly S42)
Exterior Natural Stone Color Enhancing Impregnator
HMK® S242 is a ready-to-use and solvent based color enhancing impregnator, mainly for exterior applications. By reducing water and dirt penetration, regular maintenance is facilitated. Algae, fungus and other problems occurring with exterior installations are reduced. Color enhancement will bring out the grain and structure of the stone. HMK® S242 is especially suited for wall and floor surfaces. Vapor permeation is only slightly diminished. This product will darken and enrich the colors of Natural and Cultured stone.
Apply one saturating coat to a chemically clean and dry surface with a natural bristle brush or the HMK® Z170-171 brushes. For more absorbing surfaces, repeat procedure after 24 hours. On poorly absorbing surfaces, such as polished marble or granite, remove all excess S242 after application in order to prevent it from drying. The hydrophobic, dirt- and grease-repellent effect generates within 24 hours.

Chemical product. Contains Turpentine Substitute. Flammable. Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. Harmful or fatal if swallowed or inhaled. Use with adequate ventilation or mask. Avoid eye/skin contact. If exposed, wash/flush with water. Get medical attention. Remove food before applying S242. After S242 has cured, it is harmless to your health. Keep out of reach of children. Shelf Life: 2 years.
Perform testing on a sample tile and actual installation to determine number of coats necessary to protect particular stone, visual appearance of tile after S242 application and stain protection against water, dirt, and oil infiltration.
